Children's Ministry:
Every child is valuable to us!
Through our Children's Ministry at Peace we strive to show your child the love Jesus Christ has for him/her. Building upon our Baptism into God's family, our goal is to deepen your child's faith relationship with Jesus Christ. We want all of our children to know Jesus as their best Friend, and be excited to walk with Him day by day. If you have any questions about the Children's Ministry Program, please contact Sherri Probasco.
Sunday School:
Our primary Children's Ministry is our weekly Sunday School program, geared for children ages two through 8th grade. Through lessons, music, and crafts, we seek to teach children Bible characters and stories. We strive to explain Biblical truths and help the children apply them to relationships in their own lives. Sunday School is from 9:20-10:15 a.m. every Sunday of the year except for Easter Sunday.
Wednesday Night is Family Night at Peace
The First Wednesday of the Month (Sept.-May) is 5th Quarter Time Out- This is a class for 5th Graders and their parents. Meeting from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall we will have a power point presentation Bible Study. Parents and children engage in this together. The children have notebooks and homework and memory work to complete for the next 3 Wedneday's of the month. This class is designed to get parents and children digging into their Bibles together. We firmly believe that the home is the primary Faith Educator of children with the Church supporting the parents by giving them the tools and resources to do that. The children accumulate points for completed homework each month and then get to "shop" at the end of the year with their points.
The Second Wednesday of the month is Family Night Recharge. This is for families of all ages. We gather together for simple, fun, hands-on devotions. We kick off the night with energetic contemporary music and prayer. Our Faith Shapers will then lead your family through a simple devotion activity. Families are then given devotions to complete for the rest of the month at home. Families that have completed the previous months devotions are awarded Gift Certificates to places such as Little Ceasars and Dairy Queen. Children are also awarded prizes- such as silly bands for reciting memory verses. These Devotions are so fun that your children will be begging you to do these!!
" 4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. " Deuteronomy 6:4-9
Vacation Bible School
