Welcome to Worship!
Worship at St. Paul’s emphasizes Jesus and engages everyone. We are a Christian church that proclaims Jesus as Savior of all. The name “Lutheran” identifies us as a people of conviction who believe:
“By grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourself; it is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9
Worship is offered each Sunday at 8:30am and 10:00am.
We desire that the first-time guest and life-long member be equally edified by each service. Worship at St. Paul’s is characterized by these traits:
-
Law/Gospel Emphasis – We believe that the Law (God’s expectations of us) shows us our sin, and the Gospel (God’s gifts to us) shows us our Savior.
-
Engaging, Biblical Message – We believe that God’s Word is relevant and applicable. It is presented with passion, insight and humor.
-
Blended-Traditional Style – We believe that historic hymns and newer songs can be blended to praise God. Organ, trumpet, strings, timpani and vocals are regularly offered in worship.
-
Visible Word – We believe that God offers faith and forgiveness through His Word, as well as through Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Both are a regular part of worship.
The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first and third Sundays of each month at both services. We invite you to speak with an elder or the pastor before communing with us for the first time. Also, be encouraged to read the teaching of the Bible about the Lord’s Supper.
We offer special services throughout the year, including:
