Board of School Ministries

The Board of Shool Ministries is responsible for the effective functioning of St. Paul's Lutheran School.  This includes the Day School (Kindergarten through Eigth Grade), Pre-School, and Day Care.  The board is comprised of eight members of the congregation, four of whom are not a parent of a child enrolled in the school.  The Principal is an advisory member of the Board.

The responsibilities of the Board include:

1. Pray for the students, parents, and teachers associated with the school ministries.

2. Support the principal in his/her leadership of the school ministries.

3. Partner with the Director of Judean Minsitries and the Principal to effectively witness and minister to school families.

4. Set curriculum and academic standards for the Day School and Pre-School.

5. With the participation of the Principal and the Director of Judean Ministries, employ all contracted (non-called) Day School, Pre-School and Day Care staff.

6. Set an annual calendar for the school ministries.

7. Prepare an annual budget for the Board of Directors and Voters.

8. Be accountable to the Pastor and the Elders on spiritual matters and the Board of Directors on financial and property matters related to the school ministries.

9. Oversee the functioning of the Parent Assistance League (PAL) by receiving monthly reports and advising them regarding PAL activities.
